Sago is made from tapioca root that is loaded with calcium,iron, potassium and vitamin K which are responsible for heathy bone growth and development which is crucial for babies.

How to Cook Sabudana Vada

Preparation time-15 minutes

Cook time-15-20 minutes

Served to- 4 person


Ingredients

. 200 gm Sago(3-4 hours soaked)
. 4 medium size (boiled potatoes)
. 100 gm roasted peanuts
. 3-4 green chillies ( finely chopped)
. 1/2 tablespoon ginger ( crushed)
. 2 tablespoon coriender leaves
. A pinch of hing
. 5-6 curry leaves
. 1 tablespoon red chilli powder
. Salt as needed
. Oil for deep fry

Preparation

. Bring boiled potatoes in a plate, peel them off.Now smashed them properly.


. Bring chopped coriander leaves,green chillies at one place.


. Now bring soaked Sago at one place.
. Bring roasted peanuts in a blender.Blend them 1-2 times,that should not be like powder .
. Now Mix all prepared ingredients in one plate,add salt (if you are cooking for fasting then add senda namak) ,hing,red chilli powder ,ginger  in it.Mix well.


. Now make medium round shape  from that mixture like given picture.
. Bring a pan on stove,add oil in it.When oil heated up ,add round shape stuff in it at low flame.Do deep fry them .It will take almost 5-7 minutes to fry.

. Fry all the round shape stuff (Vada) like that,after that put all the fried Vadas on tissue paper,which would then soak the extra but of oil.Now Sago Vada is ready to be served.Serve it with curd,sauce,green chatni or if you like it, only with tea.These are healthy, crunchy snacks.

Healthy Drumsticks Curry

How to Cook drumsticks curry


Preparation time-10-15 minutes

Cook time- 15 minutes

Served to-3-4 person

Ingredients

. 4-5 drumsticks
. 2-3 green chillies
. 2 medium size tomato ( finely chopped)
. 7-8 garlic cloves
. 1/2 inch ginger
. 1.5 tablespoon mustard seeds(20 minutes soaked)
. 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
. 8-10 black pepper
. 1 tablespoon red chilli powder
. 1/2 tablespoon turmeric powder
. 1/4 tablespoon fenugreek seeds
. A pinch of hing
. Salt as needed
. Oil 1.5 tablespoon(mustard oil)
. Coriender leaves (for garnish)

Preparation

. Bring drumsticks peel them off. And chop them like given in the picture.
. Now bring garlic cloves,ginger,mustard seeds,cumin seeds,black pepper,green chilli in a blender.Blend them properly,add 3-4 tablespoon water for proper blend.Put them in a bowl.

Step by step process to Cook Drumsticks curry

. Bring a pan on stove,add oil in it.When oil gets heated up ,add chopped drumsticks in it at medium flame.Fry drumsticks for 4-5 minutes.After that put aside in a plate.

.Now add fenugreek seeds and hing in that pan,stir untill fenugreek seeds become light golden.After that add the paste from bowl .Stir that paste at medium flame,add turmeric powder in it.Stir for 4-5 minutes ,then color of onion will change or paste will leave the surface of pan.Now add red chilli powder, coriander powder in it ,mix all stuff properly at low flame.



. Now add tomato in it,stir for seconds then add drumsticks in it.Mix well ,add 1.5 bowl of water in it .Add salt in it.Cover up the pan for 5-7 minutes for medium flame.After that switch off the gas.


. Now garnish with coriander leaves. Drumsticks curry is ready to serve.Serve with rice,indian bread.

Soyabean Chunks Aloo(potato) gravy curry

How to Cook soyabean Chunks and potatoe curry

Preparation time- 10 minutes

Cook time- 20 minutes

Served to - 3-4 person

Ingredients

. 1 bowl soya chunks(20 minutes soaked)
. 2 potatoes
. 1 tomato ( finely chopped)
. 2 medium size onion ( chopped)
. 3-4 green chillies (chopped)
. 6-7 garlic cloves
. 1 tablespoon Cumin seeds
. 1 tablespoon dry coriander powder
. 8-10 black pepper
. 1 tablespoon garam masala
. 1/2 tablespoon turmeric powder
. 1/2 tablespoon red chilli powder
. Salt as needed
. 1.5 tablespoon mustard oil
. Coriender leaves (for garnishing)

Preparation

. Bring soaked soya chunks in a plate .Remove water from it.
. Now bring potatoes clean it and peel them off.Now chop potatoes like in given picture.

. Bring 1/2 chopped onion in one plate.
. Bring  1.5 onion ,garlic,ginger and cumin seeds,black pepper in blender.Blend them properly ,put them in one bowl.

 Step by step process to Cook

. Bring oil in a pan on stove.When oil heated up ,add pinch of salt in it.Add all soya chunks in it at medium flame.Now fry chunks untill it become light golden,now separate from oil.Fry potatoes in oil for 3-4 minutes.Put both ingredients in one plate.



. Now add a pinch of hing in oil,add 1/4 tablespoon cumin seeds in it.when seeds starts sizzle ,add  chopped onion and green chillies in it.Stir untill light golden.


. Now add paste in it ,stir that paste at medium flame.Stir untill color of onion become change.
. Now add chopped tomato in it.Fry for seconds after that we will add garam masala,turmeric powder, coriender powder,red chilli powder in it.Mix all stuff for 1-2 minutes at low flame.Now add chunks and potato in it ,mix well.

. Now add 1.5 bowl of water in it .Add salt ,mix everything properly.Cover up the pan for 5-7 minutes at medium flame.Now switch off the stove.
. Now curry is ready to serve. Garnish with coriender leaves .Serve with indian bread or rice.


Lemon Rice

About

Lemon Rice is a full flavoured rice.Easy to cook and delicious in taste.It is combination of rice, curry leaves,peanuts,and cashews.It is famous in south Indian food.

How to Cook Lemon Rice

Preparation time- 15 minutes

Cook time-7-10 minutes

Served to- 2-3 person

Ingredients

. 300 gm Rice (normal rice or long grained rice)
. 12-15 curry leaves
. 4-5 green chillies
. 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
. A pinch of hing
. 1/2 tablespoon turmeric powder
. 1 tablespoon skinned black gram
. 1 big tablespoon peanuts
. 6-7 cashew nuts
. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or sesame oil
. 2-3 red chilli
. 2 tablespoon lemon juice
. Salt as needed

Preparation

. Bring a pressure cooker and cook the rice.And put aside at room temperature in a plate.
. Bring curry leaves, green chillies,red chillis in one plate ,put them aside.
. Bring peanuts,cashew nuts in one plate.
.Now fry peanuts,and cashew nuts.Cashew nuts should become light golden ,and peanuts should become crunchy , after which, we put them aside in a plate.

How to Cook Lemon Rice

. Bring a pan on stove add oil in it at low flame. When oil starts heated up, add mustard seeds.When mustard seeds starts crackle then add skinned black gram in it stir for seconds.Then add red chillies,green chillies and curry leaves and turmeric powder and hing in it .Stir all for 1-2 minute.
. Now add cooked rice in it.Mix all stuff properly.Add salt,lemon juice in it.Cover the pan for 2 minutes

. Now open the pan. Add peanuts and cashew nuts in it ,mix all stuff.Now Lemon Rice is ready to serve.Serve with curd and papas.

Note- All process of cooking will be at low flame.
