Potato Vada

About

Potato Vada is a very famous snack in Maharashtra. We can eat this Vada with pav. This is very easy snack to cook.


How to Cook potato Vada 

Preparation time - 15 minute

Cook time - 10 minutes

Serve to - 2-3 person


Ingredients

. 5-6 medium size boiled potatoes
. 6-7 curry leaves
. 2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
. 1/2 tablespoon dry mango powder
. Salt as needed
. 1/ 2 tablespoon turmeric powder
. 1/2 tablespoon mustard seeds
. 1/2 tablespoon fennel seeds
. 1/2 tablespoon oil
. 6-7 green chillies ( finely chopped)
. 4 tablespoon 

Step by step process to Cook potato Vada

. Bring gram flour in a bowl ,add 1/2 cup of water in it. Mix properly that flour should be in flowing form. Keep this aside.


 . Bring boiled potatoes, peel them off and mash them. Keep them aside in a plate.
 . Bring a pan on the stove. Add oil in it, when oil starts heated up then add mustard seeds, fennel seeds in it. Then after 5-10 seconds add green chillies and curry leaves in it. Then add mashed potatoes in it. Add turmeric powder ,salt and coriander leaves in it. Mix all stuff well. Stir for 3-4 minutes. Then switch off the gas. 


. Keep this stuff in a plate so that stuff will become cold. Now make small balls from the stuff.  Again bring a pan add oil for frying when oil starts heated up. Then dip the balls in gram flour liquid and add in oil for frying. Now fry all balls like this. This is called potato Vada.




. Now Vada is ready to be served. Serve with pav or green sauce.
